Debuting in 2022, Princeton Vice is an online horror host.
What's a horror host, you ask?
In the proud tradition of horror host shows like "Elvira, Mistress of the Dark," "Mystery Science Theater 3000," and "Svengoolie," Princeton presents public domain horror movies, accompanying them with skits, songs, and spoofs.
What's makes "Princeton Vice Presents" different?
Princeton Vice is a Monster sitter; a warm and cuddly soul, looking after little monsters (while their parents are away). With him are Memento Murray, the sarcastic talking skull, Tippi the sweet possum, and Eccentric Aunt Vivian (who is everyone's eccentric aunt, it seems). Other guests and friends also drop in frequently to say hello! We are always shaking things up, but generally strive for a "cozy horror" kind of show.
Our inspirations include horror icons like Vincent Price, horror hosting shows like MST3K, and comedians like Joe Flaherty (Count Floyd). However we also take inspiration from childrens shows like Mister Rogers Neighborhood , Sesame Street and Blues Clues. While our show will often parody children's entertainers, we endeavor to make it a loving tribute; riffing on their style, without undermining their core messages. We are all about love, understanding, and inclusivity.
Note: Princeton Vice Presents is not intended as a show for children. For example, Murray says “crap” a lot, and some of the movies we show are scary or violent enough to fall under the Y7 or PG-13 rating. Viewer discretion is advised before showing to very young audiences.
